It appears that Charlotte is Roxie in Chicago how is she still the standby for Sweet Charity does she just call in when Christina's out at Chicago and go over to the hirschfield theatre and do charity how does that work?
When Christina is out, Charlotte is on. When Charlotte is on in Charity, her standby is on in Chicago. Applegate also has an understudy.

When they need her, they send her over to the Hirschfeld - and they put a Roxie understudy on - ususally the fabulous Michelle DeJean.

There were a whole bunch of threads on this matter when the show first started...
But yes, Charlotte would just be called out of Chicago and go down to Charity. Either her standby (Belle Calaway) or one of her understudies (Michelle DeJean or Michelle Potterf -- and even though she's not an understudy for Roxie anymore, I think Donna Marie Asbury could go on in a pinch) would go on in her place at Chicago.

I love Belle Callaway. She is a great Roxie.
Heather - do you know when they are sending Michelle out on the tour? Is it after all these overseas shows they are doing?

I'm pretty sure it's after Taiwan, but don't quote me on that.

It's D'amboise.
Actually, isn't it d'Amboise?

If you want to be technical, yes. But for professional purposes she didn't change or hyphenate her name.

I'm an engineer, I have no choice but to be technical - lol.
Though, as I previously stated, there is no standby listed in the playbill, and Charlotte isn't even mentioned.
They may still be using a seperate Playbill for Charlotte d'Amboise's performances. During the first week of NY previews the Playbill read "Charlotte d'Amboise in Sweet Charity" with no mention of Christina Applegate. Maybe there's some contractual reason why her name is not in the regular Playbill.
Trivia Thread Jacking question:
Charlotte and her brother worked in a Broadway show together. Name that show.

This may have already been mentioned, but Applegate was out of "Charity" last night. There were many people at the cancellation line.
