Atticus Shaffer (from The Middle) would be interesting casting.  He sings some as Ono in The Lion Guard on Disney Jr., but not sure if he could pull off Evan.  But would be curious to see...

He’d be interesting casting for a film. I know his medical conditions keep him from doing the role onstage, as he’s almost completely immobile (his walking scenes involved body doubles or special effects).
