A Wicked Idea: Now that so many actresses have had the chance to don green make-up to play the not-so-wicked Wicked Witch of the West, how about a new recording featuring the many Elphabas? It could be called "The Green Album" and feature each subsequent Elphaba — Shoshana Bean, Eden Espinosa, Stephanie J. Block and Ana Gasteyer — singing her four big numbers: "The Wizard and I," "Defying Gravity," "I'm Not That Girl" and "No Good Deed." I suppose a follow-up CD could be "The Blonde Album" with the various Glindas singing their Stephen Schwartz show-stoppers.

I liked the review of Piazza... it was beautifully written, and I felt that it explained exactly how I felt, but more articulately.
I like the idea of a Wicked CD, but maybe wait a little bit... Wicked hasn't been out that long that the show already needs another CD recording from the show. I would like to see this sometime down the road. I wonder if Idina was a part of this album... if she would re-record or just use the OBC recording.

Posted: 8/19/05 at 1:31ami think the 'green album' is an interesting idea. I'd be interested in hearing the elphaba's I know I won't be able to hear otherwise. If anything, it will stop all the insane wicked teeny boppers from asking if there are new cast recordings of all the elphabas, no?

they should wait a little, but it could be interesting when the appropriate time comes to have each elphaba pick her favorite number from the show and put it onto the recording so we could hear different versions...
i have to say that an albulm with like 10 popular's isn't my cup of tea.

I honestly don't think I could listen to an entire CD of so many of the same exact song... no matter what song it was. I think I would probably listen to it once, to compare the Elphabas... and then realize that I couldn't sit through all of the same songs. Anyway, maybe that is just me... but I can only handle too many Elphaba songs at one time, especially if they wait a little bit... and more Elphabas are added to the list

well if they added on all the understudies and standbys... u'd have like 15 people singing the different songs, so that could work more.
Personally i'd love to have a recording of um well my favorite elphaba doing the songs. I think it's an interesting concept. . .

Also, I don't think that they should use all Wicked music, they should use music from all different shows, mainly because only theatre lovers would buy it, similar to "Broadway's Fabulous Phantoms."
