From what I hear, most of the cast *does* have other stuff to go on to. I'm just sad that there will be no Drac CD after all that. 5 months on Bway is not a long time, but the cast definitely deserves to have their work put out there on a CD, you know? Ah well. I'll be seeing this show twice before it closes. I don't care what you guys say, it may not be a perfect show, but I have fun when I go see it. So I'll go and support these wonderful actors as they finish their run.

I always feel sorry for the actors etc. out of work. I had tickets to both. Dracula I wanted to see again!!!!!!

I am sad for both shows and casts. neither show was amazing but they both had their place. If every show that was "crap" to someone closed NOTHING would be left on broadway.

That being said who ever was asking about the belasco being haunted there are rumors that david belasco's ghost haunts the belasco making it difficult to open a new show there (remember all the technical and water pipe problems dracula had before opening)

Good luck to denzel but i'm not counting on a big hit out of that. Just another revival of a shakespeare play with a big name hollywood star trying to do broadway...it's been done time and time again.

I must say that the Belasco Theatre has not had many shows, in the past 20 years, that have run for a long time. Since "Ain't Misbehavin'" (1604 performances) closed in 1982 the only play to do more than two hundred performances was Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (243). Most of the other shows were in and out in no time. Of course some of them were only scheduled for short runs but some others were just bombs.

All I can say is I am surprised it took this long. I thought Bombay Dreams was going to close months ago, it's shocking it stayed open as long as it did.

Never saw Bombay Dreams. Did see Dracula and didn't care for it. At all.

THAT SAID, I just want you all the remember the true lack of class shown in this thread when someone (say Al Dente) takes a shot at one of your sacred cows.

It's crazy how many shows are going to close that weekend. I usually love going to closing nights but this seems to be impossible.... oh, well.

Ok, I actually enjoyed Bombay Dreams for the cheese fest it was,,, now Dracula.. I have never experienced anything worse, more painful or a waste of money in my entire life.... Life After Life after Life After Life... I dont think so...

I enjoy a lot of the cheese in DRACULA but I honestly don't understand what is wrong with the song itself even though the whole bat thing at the end was hysterical.

Most hilarious moments in DRACULA:

Tom Hewitt flying across the stage just above the floor like he was on a swing.

Errico being hipnotized and doing the "eye roll" thing.

Kelli O'Hara turning into a vampire.

Most hilarious moments in Dracula -

1)The Garage Sale sets not working

2)Melissa Errico pretending to be sick for 2 months, hoping the show will close so she doesn't have to be associated with it anymore.

3)Kelli O'Hara PRAYING TO GOD nightly the show will close so she can do a show that she can actually be proud of

Yeah, I meant the growl when I was talking about Kelli O'Hara turning into a vampire. That is priceless.

Or how about when she's sick and want her husband to stay with her but he doesn't want to risk getting bitten so he leaves her!!! I crack up every time!!

Or what about the manequin (sp) Dracula that flies around pretending to be Tom?!?!

Exactly. There are a couple songs in Bombay Dreams that make me go "WTF??!" but overall, I quite liked most of the songs. As a play...no.

Loves Never Easy is the worst song in the show, and Hero isn't much better. The music is quite good - most of it is very beautiful and the orchestrations are lovely. You heard the London version, which was bad all the way around. Listen to the song THE JOURNEY HOME and tell me the music is bad. The show is very cheesy - but no more cheesy and no worse than THE PRODUCERS. It's very entertaining and some of the cast if quite good. BOMBAY DREAMS is a masterpiece compared to things like BKLYN and DRACULA.
