This is just for those who dont already know and cant find tickets.
“Dreamgirls” will be having a "Road Show" to debut the film. The three locations are in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. The one-week engagements begin December 15. New York's Ziegfeld Theater, Los Angeles's Cinerama Dome, and San Francisco's Metreon will host the special engagements of "Dreamgirls." Each theater will hold displays on the making of the movie, including designs from Academy Award®-winning production designer John Myhre and Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Sharen Davis. In addition, moviegoers will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive merchandise and the film's soundtrack in the lobby. The $25 reserved-seat ticket also includes a limited edition program. Following the limited engagement, the film will open in theaters everywhere on December 25.

These road shows will have an intermission. I wonder where they will break the movie.
Link
I'll be there [in NYC] December 15!
Having seen the film already without the intermission, the intermission break will work perfectly exactly where it was in the stage version -- right after Deena Jones & The Dreams appear doing "Love, Love You, Baby" (which is right after "And I Am Telling You..."). The next scene is a totally different scene on it's own, so it allows for that intermission.
Thanks for posting this! I just purchased 2 tickets for the 15th!!

I think I paid $25.00 to see the original LA production... ah...
I love that they are having a road show version.. just like the old days of big hollywood musicals.
Very Fun

IF you are buying tickets online in NYC- BEWARE!!! They will NOT give you seat locations. GO to the box office instead!
Exactly! It's assigned seat arrangement, not a 'first come; first served' scenario like a regular movie.
In this case, you CAN have crappy seats if you're too close to the huge screen.

Hollywood on Dec. 15 @ 10:30 for me too! Four seats in the front of the balcony. Is the Arclight used mainly for movies? I hope the balcony isn't bad, I usually love front balcony for Broadway shows...

Could this movie BE taking any longer to come out?!?!?!?!?!?

The arclight is a movie theater and the balcony seats are great. theyre merely elevated. maybe... 10 steps above the orchestra seating so its hardly anything high up.
Anyone else going to be in SF?
They are doing it on matinees, too. Not JUST when Bway shows are running...
I kind of dont get it. is there a cast with the movie i.e. rocky horrorish?
Why not Chicago?!?!? This would be PERFECT for the Chicago Theater!
um the broadway.com article says NO Intermission, so whose right?

I called the theatre and they say there will be an intermission.
