According to Playbill.com, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE will be the *only* Broadway show performing on Christmas Day. Yes, it is a Monday, so most shows wouldn't be playing normally anyway, but DROWSY's is a special added performance. DROWSY owns Broadway on Christmas Day

What better way to spend Christmas than with the fantastic cast of the sweetest show on Broadway!

That would be fun.

"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife

That's very cool. Instead of "ice water" and champagne, perhaps they should be drinking egg nog at that performance. re: DROWSY owns Broadway on Christmas Day

I've seen Christmas day shows (plenty 'o Jews in the audience) and they are great fun if the cast is in the right frame of mind.

"plenty 'o Jews in the audience"

Ummm...Jews aren't the only people who don't celebrate Christmas (although I know quite a few who do). Some of us don't like to celebrate fairytales as if they were real.

According to that same page, if it were still open today, "The Times They are..." would've also had a special added performance Christmas day.

I love Drowsy. I've loved it since the very first preview in L.A. I'm so happy that it scored so hugely in New York.

"Some of us don't like to celebrate fairytales as if they were real."

This is extreamly offensive to those of us who celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
