According to Playbill.com, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE will be the *only* Broadway show performing on Christmas Day. Yes, it is a Monday, so most shows wouldn't be playing normally anyway, but DROWSY's is a special added performance.
What better way to spend Christmas than with the fantastic cast of the sweetest show on Broadway!

That would be fun.
That's very cool. Instead of "ice water" and champagne, perhaps they should be drinking egg nog at that performance.
I've seen Christmas day shows (plenty 'o Jews in the audience) and they are great fun if the cast is in the right frame of mind.

"plenty 'o Jews in the audience"
Ummm...Jews aren't the only people who don't celebrate Christmas (although I know quite a few who do). Some of us don't like to celebrate fairytales as if they were real.

According to that same page, if it were still open today, "The Times They are..." would've also had a special added performance Christmas day.
I would go, but I will be in Puerto Rico.
"Some of us don't like to celebrate fairytales as if they were real."
...What do you mean, you don't believe in getting presents? After all, that's what christmas is all about! :O)
being of the Hebrew persuasion, can't I come up with some new Jewishisms? (Although Cup 'o Jews topped me by a mile).
Woo! Kick some Christmas ass, DrowsY!
Wonder if there will be lots of understudys?

Broadwayboy, don't frown at that!
I love Drowsy. I've loved it since the very first preview in L.A. I'm so happy that it scored so hugely in New York.
"Some of us don't like to celebrate fairytales as if they were real."
This is extreamly offensive to those of us who celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
Again I say, Happy Festivus!
(The Festival For The Rest Of Us)
And Happy Kwanzaa! (Even though it starts on the 26th!)
I agree, singingbackup.
But first -- the feats of strength!!
