DRS....

To did it recoup, or will it close as a $$$ flop?
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

re: DRS....

Well it wouldn't be a flop but it didn't recoup. It made money and had a pretty healthy run until Norbert left. It may still recoup with the tour.

re: DRS....

Will close as as a $$$ flop.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

re: DRS....

A flop is a financial distinction, the show may have made money, but since it didn't recoup, it didn't make profit and is thus a flop...

Unless I'm wrong then you can carry about your buisness *curtsies*
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

re: DRS....

It could recoup from the tour...
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

re: DRS....

Does anyone know if Norbert is staying for the whole tour, or is he done now with the end of LA's run. They don't seem to be advertising him in Orange County.

re: DRS....

Sadly that is what I thought. re: DRS....

re: DRS....

There was an ad in the OC Register today.....Next Wednesday, $50 buys you a first tier seat, after-show party w/ cast, open bar and hors'd orves (sp?). I am SOOOOO tempted since Norbert was out when I was there on Wednesday!

re: DRS....

He's even better on the tour than Broadway. I saw him in LA
. He's even more crazy and outrageous if that's possible. I'd go.

re: DRS....

Only $50? Wow.

re: DRS....

Maybe we'll see this at Encores! in 25 years. Hopefully the Weisslers will be dead.
It's a flop. Think of it as a Sondheim-ish sort of flop. Great show, little money.

re: DRS....

So is it closing 9/3 or 8/27?

9/23

What stops are Norbert doing?

re: DRS....

9/3.

Norbert is doing the first 5 or 6 cities of the tour, I believe.

re: DRS....

Norbert will be in Costa Mesa. They've been advertising it like crazy. It's the reason I bought the ticket, booked the hotel and am making the 7 hour drive! :) Now, just cross your fingers I don't get the u/s. That would suck! Nothing against understudies, I swear. I've always had great luck with them, but I'm making this trip solely to see Norbert!!
