I know that there are some Dallas audiences around here, but no one ever posts on the Dallas board. I just thought I would share the winter touring series from Dallas Summer Musicals. The ad was in a Dallas news magazine today. Dallas Winter Broadway Contemporary Series I was excited to see some decent tours in the winter myself. Enjoy!

Spelling Bee :11/28-12/3 Majestic Theatre

Altar Boyz: 1/16-1/21 The Majestic Theatre

Twelve Angry Men 2/26-3/4 The Majestic Theatre

The Lion King (State Fair Musical) 9/20-10/20 Music Hall

The Rockettes are also coming for a Christmas show, but that so doesn't count in my opinion.

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

LION KING IS THE STATE FAIR MUSICAL NEXT YEAR?! Why can't we get Wedding Singer or Spamalot?? Have we had Lion King before?

*siiigh*

I'm looking forward to Altar Boyz and Spelling Bee though.

The Lion King was a State Fair musical a few years ago. However, this is the best winter season we've had in awhile. I stopped subscribing to the winter seasons several years ago because they were just really bad.

I'll probably try to subscribe this year because I definitely want to see everything except The Lion King.

Oh, and a heads up on purchasing tickets for Wicked in April. Right now they are holding Wicked tickets for past summer subscriptions (so they can opt to keep their current seats and see Wicked with their new summer package) AND they are withholding Wicked seats for future winter series subscribers. So basically, there are probably no decent seats at this time if you wish to purchase seats seperately. I find that insane. Wicked is not a show that will have trouble selling out; I don't really understand why they have to package it with both series.

Spamalot might come during the regular summer season. You never know. I'm praying for Light in the Piazza myself.
