Here is a better copy of the footage of "Don't Tell Momma". The holes in the audio were filled with the cast recording. Also included is some footage from a rehearsal of the same song.

I didn't see her Sally, but only a few years later did see her in the West End's "The Good Companions" opposite John Mills and the late great Christopher Gable, a ballet star in his day, too (plus on screen: "Boyfriend," "Women in Love," "Music Lovers"; if memory serves, he carried the show.) She was charming, yet I can't say I saw her future career in that performance. It was a strong ensemble show with a sweet, light score from Andre Previn.

Yes, one might not have believed that she would carry on being so loved and popular to this day, but as they say, good sense prevails. I found that I actually preferred her voice over Lolette Leyna's!

That's odd, it works when I try watching it. You might need to refresh the page.

Thanks for this!! Lovely to see it "restored."
By the way, her name is spelled Judi and the song title is "Don't Tell Mama" ![]()

The first time I saw her was in the movie "A Room With A View" where she was the least known cast member. She really didn't "come into her own" in the US until the 1990s and then she was everywhere.

Embedding the video to the original post is even better and more convenient. The tools are there, why not use them to their fullest potential? You're welcome! ![]()

Ops! I'm awfully worry. I know it's "Judi with an I, not Judy with a Y..." (sorry for the bad joke! XD ) I was a bit tired and had been listening to Judy Garland, so I misspelt it by accident.
Thanks Santana, I hadn't even thought about doing it.
