A Chorus Line (at least the 06 revival) had the bows during "One/Finale" before the real dancing begins.

Beauty and the Beast's curtain call ends with a reprise of the title song.
Reefer Madness ends with a singalong of "Mary Jane Mary Lane."
Rocky Horror ends with the Time Warp.

Posted: 9/16/09 at 3:03pmI HATED the Billy Elliott curtain call. I mean, it changes the entire vibe of the ending of the show. I think it is insulting to audience members to not allow them to leave the theatre a little choked up. Did they have to tie a big, bright shiny bow on the end of the musical? It totally dumbs it down, which is maybe what theatre-goers want. It killed the tone of the ending for me.

Some BWWers will be pleased to know that their favorite new musical, THE FIRST WIVES CLUB, has a curtain call reprise of the iconic "Jump for Joy."
Unfortunately there was no megamix featuring "Ready for a Change"!

Posted: 9/17/09 at 9:12amThe original Sweeney Todd was the one of the first misicals I saw that had no music at all during the curtain calls. The exit music started as the cast left the stage after their final bow.
