David Mirvish Producing Shows In NYC

I was looking at the IBDB.com birthdays, and seeing that today is Ed Mirvish's birthday. I clicked on to see what Ed produced on Broadway, then to see what David produced.

I was amazed to find out that David was a producer in the "Guys And Dolls" revival, which just closed, and a producer in the recent Broadway revival of "The Scottish Play" with Patrick Stewart.

I'm just wondering why there was no mention of it anywhere, or if there was I've missed it.

I'm not sure why you're amazed. Mirvish had produced shows in New York, London, all across Canada, tours across the U.S., for over 20 years now. He was one of several producers for Guys and Dolls, and was certainly mentioned in the press at the time, in addition to listings on playbill.com, etc.

Aubrey Dan does this as well.
They need to keep a presence in NYC in order to maintain relationships with producers who will then bring their shows to Toronto.
