Zoran, I agree with your analysis on this past season lol

However, Kelly can't act very well, so unless they make like a 'celebrity sings Wicked' album, Kelly shouldn't sing Wicked lol. No offense, just my thoughts. I do like her voice, tho

yeah she isnt the best actress in the world thats for sure, and Elphaba depends on a strong actress

kelly's voice is too raspy. and good acting... did you see her movie?? i think the american idol people need to stay away.

i sat through that film for ONE reason -- I knew Anika was in it.. I was hoping they would have given her a good number.. but half way through, I realized that they wouldn't do that because she would have wiped tehf loor with Justin and kelly and the movie was suppossed tos how off those two.

I saw it at full-price. Big mistake. Anika Noni Rose was the best part of that whole movie. That, and the stupid white rapper dude's chest.

A) She is WAY too short to be Elphaba. Elphaba is supposed to be tall, and gawky. Diana is what 5'3 ish around in there. She would make a better G(A)linda.

B) Her voice has too much of a twang to it. I can't put my finger on it, but it just wouldn't suit her.

Diana, love ya dearly hun, but you're not suited for the role. Though I did want her to win AI.

* She's WAY too young to play any role in Wicked except maybe an ensemble member. (I feel, anyway)

* I don't like her and I'm glad Fantasia won.

What about Stephanie D'Abruzzo sometime in the future?

I actually LOVE the idea of Stephanie D'Abruzzo appearing in Wicked in the future, though not as Elphaba...I'd actually like to see her as Glinda. She has the kind of voice with a good belt AND a strong soprano, and she's got great comic timing. Though, I'm wondering if she would look convincing as a blonde. Stephanie definitely has slightly darker, though beautiful, Italianate features.

Plus, wouldn't it be quite the delicious scandal? A former Avenue Q cast member joining the big rival for Best Musical. I can only imagine the seething anger of rabid Wicked fans when that happens! Updated On: 8/14/04 at 07:44 PM

I think D'Abruzzo would be very good in one of the parts, but I do agree that there would be some very angry Wicked fans if that ever happened.

"Diana is what 5'3 ish around in there" Idina isn't that tall either... I believe that on imdb.com it says shes 5'4

well 5'4" and slim looks taller than 5'3" and on the chunky side- i'd far prefer her as glinda if she was gonna be put in

Thats very true. I truthfully don't think she could pull off either of the roles and even if she was on American Idol it would be foolish to cast her.
