oh my god these shows this fall are killing me. first I have tickets for Hamilton on October 8th. then I find out the Great Comet isn't in previews until October 18th, so I get tickets for November 2nd on stage so I can use the discount. Now Evan Hansen isn't opening until December! Please please please let it be in previews around when I see Comet so I don't have to change it again.

Right? My feelings exactly! Such fond memories of the Belasco and Hedwig.
I'll be in town Nov 12 -20 so looks like preview for me - very excited to see this one!

Thank you for this. I harbor a terribly irrational resentment for any show that takes the Belasco after Hedwig. It's good to know I'm not the only one.

If it is going to be an unusually short preview period, do we think that means they're not going to do much to the show (obviously, I know altering the set to fit it into the larger stage and -- I hope -- to the second-act book would be implemented in rehearsals and tech, but I'm assuming they'd want previews to help them see what's working if they are making significant changes)?
Now this is weird...
I am looking at the IBDB site on my iPad, and they have a preview date set for Halloween, October 31st.
Yet, on my home PC, it's still saying November 2016 for preview start date, and there's no info on the show's website, too.
Okay, now someone is really starting to tease me. I am convinced.

Looks like Telecharge updated the Dear Evan Hansen page today.
It now says the first preview is on November 14th with the opening night December 4th.

Is there any word on what the ticket prices will be?
2 hours and 25 minutes? Thank god. It was 2 hours 50 minutes when I saw it in previews at 2S.

Really? It was 2 hours 25 minutes when I saw it, but I saw its second-to-last night.

I can only assume the poster who said that misremembered or misread his/her watch, as no major music changes took place during previews and there's no way to eliminate 30 minutes of material just through the [minimal] book changes that took place....
So, do tickets go on sale the 19th (this Sunday)? I seem to remember someone saying that earlier in this thread, but I haven't seen anything official.

Yes, tickets go on sale on Sunday June 19th. I saw that first announced on Twitter by Ben Platt, also by the show's Twitter, it was reported in Playbill, etcetera.
Telecharge also confirmed that tickets go on sale June 19th. (They at-replied someone on Twitter on June 7th at 11:43 AM confirming that.) I don't believe Telecharge has confirmed the time that tickets go on sale, but the show's Twitter at replied someone today saying that tickets should go on sale at 10 AM.

Hi all,
I was exploring the Telecharge site seeing if I could see ticket prices before Sunday, and I was actually able to purchase seats! I don't know if this is a glitch, if they secretly put them on sale early, or what, but I was able to complete my order for tickets December 28. They look to be on sale through next July.
At first I thought it might be an Amex presale or something, but I paid with my Visa just fine. Just thought I'd pass along!

Thank you, kade.ivy!
I just was able to purchase a ticket also! I got in Wednesday, November 16th. Got Row A Center Orchestra Aisle Seat.
I too don't understand if the tickets just went on sale early or what, but they're available now.

I thought about those seats too, but I ended up booking row J side aisle because I like being further back. Did you click that "see the view from this seat" link? How did it look?

I bought tickets in Row A C Orch. I sat in this row for Hedwig shows and it was great. Not knowing the staging of this show I can only assume it will be the same.
