Dear Evan Hansen in person under 30/student Rush

Was just wondering if anyone has done in person rush for Dear Evan Hansen (for students or under 30). How early would one have to show up on a weekday? How are the seats? It's unclear whether they sell it when the box office opens or an hour before curtain. If anyone has done it, any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!

Do they still have student tix available now that most shows have already been sold out?

I haven't done it for myself, but I've walked there to meet a friend in line. For an 8:00 show, the box office told her to get there at 6:00 (they sell an hour before the show), and when she got in line, there were about 15 people in front of her, and they ended up selling 8 tickets. Another time I walked past about 11:30 for a 2:00 show, and there were at least 10 people in line. Seems like you'd need to get in line at least three hours prior to the show in order to be safe.

Last Saturday I got there at 11am for the 2pm show. I ended up standing (which was fine, great view). 8 tickets sold.

First time I tried I was 4th in line and they onlu sold 3 tickets... So the next time I came about 3 hours before showtime I'd say, and I was 3rd in line. Not sure how many more they sold after mine, but we were all standing. For the 2nd act a few of us got to sit down - I was put on 2nd row cause some guy left, and it was awesome.

They sold 9 tickets for the rush at todays matinee and everyone who got a general admission ticket ended up standing in the back, which is a better view than the box seats which they sell first.  

Tomorrow's matinee is the last time they are offering rush!!!!!!!!!  Multiple staff members told us today they don't have tickets held for the extension week.
