Tyne should have played Dinner Theater

I don't want this thread to get serious again. But the funny part is Patti could out-sing any of the other Roses besides Merman.

Bernadette's voice has about an ounce of the stamina and power of Patti's voice. And Tyne has absolutely no sense of pitch or technique.

And Angela was in MUCH lower keys.

Yummy!

Here's another clip of Kristen Bell, here she is singing "Little Mary Sunshine" in the REEFER MADNESS movie, I looooove her singing. She's not as hot as Ricky but whatever.

Join me to that rank, Ljay.
Although Ricky Martin could have mold growing on his face and I'd still think he is hot sex personified.

As much as "Berniedette" is a talented performer, her singing sometimes reminds me of Betty Boop. For those of you who may not know who Betty Boops is, I've included a link. from Roman in Austin, Texas...

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Sorry, Angela, Tyne, and Bernadette.

And while Rose may be a dauntingly single-minded creature, Ms. LuPone now plays her less on one note than any actress I’ve seen. - Ben Brantley

The movie version should star Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett as Momma Rose, Anne Hathaway as Louise, Kristen Bell as June, Kevin Kline (if Meryl is Rose) or Colin Firth (if Blanchett does it) as Herbie, Patti LuPone as Mazeppa, Tyne Daly as Electra, and my girl (who was an excellent Rose regardless of what the nay-sayers may think) Bernadette Peters as Tessie Tura.

Another Kristen Bell unauthorized youtube clip you say? Coming right up! She is meant to play June.

"Oh, Jimmy!"

I think Bette Midler would make a great Electra for said movie version...
