me think someone needs to get laid.
when a person is that bitter they must be not getting any....

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

I'm not getting any, and I'm not even that bitter.

Bert's just jealous that he'll never get to play momma rose.

Remember that Celebrity Deathmatch show on MTV from years back?

Patti, Ethel, Bernie, Tyne, Bette, Rosalind, and Angela. Cage match. FIGHT!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

And the point of this was?

To borrow a phrase from the wonderful poster, PalJoey, bertandrew2 is a "sh**-stirrer" and I'm really tired of it.

Quit spamming the board with hateful threads toward Ms. LuPone and this production. You don't like her or it. Fine. WE GET IT.

But the childish bulls*** is really too much. I told you in another thread and I'll say it again: KINDLY GET LOST.

there was a thread a few days back asking what topic had the record for the most threads on BWW. although it's overall not the case, obviously the answer based on the last few days is Patti/Patti Gypsy bashing.

isn't there a performer you like that you can dedicate this kind of posting energy to?

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

So I can't get over this video of Kristen Bell dancing "Fame," hey! She should so play June in the GYPSY film with Annie Hathaway as Louise.

If gayness were measured by how many Mama Roses one has seen, Bert would be in mother****ing Oz.

#24Tyne should have played Dinner Theater
Posted: 3/27/08 at 6:02pm

Tyne has no business giving Gypsy pointers to anyone. Her singing was horribly flat and she played the role with zero nuance.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
