Personal attacks notwithstanding, several friends & colleagues that are as knowledgeable about both musical & stage plays as anyone on this board currently have remarked that Deborah Cox is doing a fabulous job in the role Aida. They were also brutally honest in their assessments of her two predecessors who just didn't cut muster. Is "Aida" the best ever musical staged on BWay...no. But is the favorite of at least one poster, CRP2000 and Ms Cox is my personal favorite entertainer. I'm struck by her humility, natural beauty, good nature, and the fact that she stands out in the R&B world as someone who really can sing well live. If you search the archives of her website
http://www.deborahcox.com, you will never encounter a thread in which she maligns a fellow artist of any genre. By all accounts, the woman is a fine wife, mother, entertainer, and first class act.
