#0Decent seats for Doubt?
Posted: 6/19/05 at 11:27amI'm going to be seeing Streetcar and was thinking of trying to see Doubt to make a weekend out of it. The seats available are Center Mezz Row E. I'm not familiar with the Kerr theater and wondered if these seats would be decent or not for seeing (and hearing) this show. Would appreciate everyone's input.

Posted: 6/19/05 at 11:30amMostly anything un the center to mid part of the orchestra & the same with the mezzanine. Avoid the 2 row blacony as those are really nosebleed seats. Plan ahead & as it is hard to get tickets. My wife & I see it Sunday - full price unfortunately

Posted: 6/19/05 at 6:51pmMy seat was Mezz E when I saw this play for the very first time. Of course, I prefer closer, but it was OK (and worth the money)! The Mezz of Kerr theatre is really steep and there is no handrail to hang onto, so please be careful.

Posted: 6/19/05 at 7:36pmThank you Mr. Roxy and Mandy for your responses. I think I will definitely try to see it....does anyone know how long it is expected to run?

Posted: 6/19/05 at 10:24pmOkay, got the tickets for $66 each...discounted through Broadwaybox. From everything I've read about this play, it sounds very intriguing so I'm looking forward to it. I just hope I won't feel I really needed to be closer to experience the facial expressions, body language, etc.

MadameButterfly...as I said, my first seat was Mezz E and again, it was great (you can see the details on stage. Don't worry)! But made me wanna go back to see it again...this time closer. So I went back 3 more times...and I am sure you will feel the same way
The Mezz seats at Kerr are really high (steep stairs)...so it is far from the stage not horizontally but vertically (weird). But..hey, it is great play. Enjoy!

Posted: 6/20/05 at 10:08amStanding room, is much, much cheaper ($21) and much better than decent. The play is only 90 min long and not a difficult stand.

Posted: 6/20/05 at 11:33amIt is a very intimate theatre. Mezz E is perfect. You won't miss a thing.

Thank you again for everyone's input. I feel much more relieved about the seats :)

Posted: 6/20/05 at 7:32pmI saw Proof in that theater from the center mezzanine row A (and again in August for Doubt) and those were my favorite seats ever for a Broadway show (and I have sat in premium orchestra seats) I imagine that row E would be pretty good.
