This man sounds amazing! And his face just makes me smile, especially his laugh on the broadway.com spelling bee opening night video, I'm not really sure what it is about his voice, but i LOVE it! What does everyone else think???

His voice is sharp and creamy at the same time. He's great.

Even if his part wasn't the best-written when I saw the show in early Second Stage previews, his singing was excellent. And he did a great job in the Tonys ceremony, too. :)

YES! Derrick is great as the comfort counselor. This show is so much fun. Some of the moments that really crack me up are when Loggaine and her dads are singing about her birth mother in Kansas MO (Tornados!)and Leaf's solo. The fingertip monster cracks me up. And if you've seen the show, you know how freakin' cute Jesse is as Leaf. So much truth behind it all!

hes sooo sweet! ive never met him, but i just wrote him a letter and he sent me back a cast signed playbill and a one page hand written letter! he thanked me for being a fan! i was like thank you for doing such a great job in putnam! lol.
