Does anybody miss when each designer talked about their design before the announement of the Tony?

I do. There are some videos on Youtube and they are very interesting.

I definitely do. I loved when they did that, especially since I'm not able to see all of the shows represented. It's always fascinating to see where their designs came from.

They need to incorporate the design awards into the telecast.

Well, they showed those design presentations when they televised those portions of the Tony Awards on PBS. They stopped those segments when PBS stopped airing it.

At least they separated musical and play categories last year (2 years ago?).
