They don't have a performance scheduled on
Tuesdays.
I imagine they adjusted their schedule for the 4th, there's no show Thursday this week; I saw on Facebook a friend who was supposed to go tonight was informed of the cancellation at the theatre. Wondered if anyone else on here was going/heard about this.

Is it possible they are just frighteningly inconsistent? The Weds. Matinee I saw last week was superbly performed. And confidently, too.
I agree, theatertrash — the performance I saw on June 21 was controlled and explosive, with a highly engaged audience that seemed to light up Dourif and Plummer — it felt very audience-interactive, as it should. These wildly differing reports are baffling. It's a piece that allows for a great deal of improvisation — not in text, but in action — so perhaps that's what's happening, to greater and lesser effect. I'm just happy that I saw the performance I saw, and leave it at that. It was remarkable.
Sunday's performance went off without a hitch, as well, and Plummer and Dourif showed nothing less than a complete mastery of the text. It was a fully committed performance.
I did notice that Plummer was still wearing a knee brace on Sunday, and there were no understudies listed in the playbill. It could be that Plummer's injury was acting up and she was unable to perform, and with no understudy to cover, the performance had to be cancelled.
I saw it a few days ago and, while I don't think it really works (Williams' play feels like an over-extended one-act and poor direction slops things up a bit), this is nonetheless an extremely haunting production. You may not always enjoy it while you are watching, but it lingers.
Watching Amanda Plummer handle this material is like watching someone skate effortlessly on one foot through fast, breakneck traffic.
