I think I am going to sing 'Being Alive,' 'Mr. Cellophane,' and perhaps one original piece.

Yes, pretty, I sang...but it wasn't pretty. I was practicing quietly, and when I got up to the floor, my throat got very dry, and I found myself flat on a few notes. My friend was in line about thirty people behind me, and said that some kid was complaining about my voice, telling them to "Cut me off" (Not that it mattered, cuz when that kid got up to sing, he was flatter and hoarser than I)
But, at the same time, I'm glad I did it. Whether or not I won, I pushed myself to go, without making excuses like I normally do. I went and did my thing, and though I didn't give my 100%, I found my courage.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

She was good. It was really hard to decide, because of the "final" five, three were really good

Justice, it takes tremendous courage to get up there in front of hundreds of strangers and sing your heart out. You should be congratulated! Congratulations!

Thanks James. Same to you. Especially for coming in as a runner up. You have a wonderful voice.

The Tony Rehearsals are ALOT of fun. Personally, I'd rather just go to that and then watch it on TV at home. Last year I went to both. It's histerical watching the faux speach givers.

The person who went up for best lighting in a musical said:
"I'd like to thank everyone for this award, it means a lot to us because we put a lot of lighting in the show." It was histerical how they said it.

Have a lot of fun and congratulations!

I was thinking about that...I would LOVE to go to the dress rehearsal..since everyone is kinda themselves since there are no cameras yet!

AND HUGH!! ahhh...I'd jump all over him..and then get a restraining order

and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...

Yes, you did a terrific job and deserved to place! Congratulations! I also sang "Some Enchanted Evening" but decided when I heard so many with legit voices, to put a comedic spin on it. Obviously it was a bad choice...
LOL
Much success to you! Enjoy the rehearsal~!

Hi Broadway Freak, no it wasn't mine. At least I don't think so. (ha, ha!) My collaborator and I are finishing up some re-writes so it will be ready to go into pre-broadway workshops.

I went to the one in Boston. The judges were from the tour of Phantom and they are going to be in the broadway production in June. I thought I sang really well, but i could have moved a little more. They only announced the top 3 for us and I wasn't one of them. The 1st and 2nd runner ups got 250$ and 100$ store credit to Macys though, which was kinda cool. I honestly thought the judges didnt wanna pick a kid though (I am 15) cuz there were a lot of good young-adults under 18 there, who didn't get top 3. There were probably about 100 singers.

Oh, Ants! I certainly remember you. And let me assure you, in years from now you'll be the contestant everyone remembers. Just when the competition was starting to lag, you really spiced things up again.

Ahhhhhhh Pretty!
Your statements made me smile--I am so happy to know there were people out there who had a similar sense of humor...
You just made the long wait, the heat of the store, not being able to see all the contestants and judges perform because of the location of the line and the deafening volume of the speakers, worth it for me!
Thank you so much, you certainly made my day! :)

aww sounds like so much fun!

Congratulations to everyone who sang! Geez James, you're impressive!

How was that 10 year old girl who won last year?

Well, Ants. Glad I could make it worth it. And I completely agree with you about the placement of the lines. I couldn't see anything for half the time, and especially because I'm so short. *coughs*

But everyone has to admit that it's hilarious that the security guards were *this* close to rushing the stage.
