Nothing new, and a natural fit, but I hadn't seen it on TV before. Also, if you're not watching the White Sox and Astros, here's a reminder about Chicago on NBC. They just started the actual movie - as I type Cathrine Zeta-Jones is singing the first few notes of "All That Jazz."

I didn't know you couldn't say "Jesus Christ" on network television.

EDIT: I'm talking about Chicago, of course.

They edited out the "screwin'" in Cell Block Tango. Funny.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

They also said, "...and Sophie Tucker will spit, I know..." Interesting.

They also just showed another Rent preview. If I'm not mistaken, it might be a new one - I haven't seen it, anyway.

The ones(it played twice) during One Tree Hill on the WB were ones I had seen before, that had Mimi at like, the rehab center or whatever it is.

They just did the scene between Roxie and Billy right before "Razzle Dazzle" with the vamp underneath it, but went to commercial right as the song was about to start. GRRRRR!!!

Anyone else laugh when they showed "Class" afterwards? With the bleepping instead of editing like they did in the movie? However, they didn't edit or bleep "son of a bitch" in the song, but they did in the movie. Very interesting...

This is really sad. They cut out Dominic West’s three frame ass shot and blurred Rene’s silhouette when she was getting out of bed...

I wish they'd just cut lines instead of "single my eye". that's just stupid. who says that?

Really good trailer. Is this the first time it was shown? I have never seen it (on network television) before. I think it's very smart marketing to advertise a musical during a musical. Looks great.

-The trailer reminded me to watch out for Taye in CHICAGO.

Wow the censorship in this was messed up. Come on NBC, people say 'ass' and 'go to hell' on most of your shows.

Rent looks great. I was wondering how it got away with a PG-13 rating?

Huh, I didn't catch "Single my eye." Maybe it was better that I didn't.

And Chita WAS in it, but they went to commercial immediatly after it, before "When You're Good to Mama."

Why did anyone even bother watching this on television, cut to pieces and drawn out by commercials?

I thought people gave up watching theatrical films on television ages ago.

Marquise - I set my tivo to record it, because I curious to see what sort of changes would be made.

But I always wonder who actually watches theatrical films on network television, too.

Kringas, that's a good point.
I will have to do this in 2008 when RENT makes it's network television debut.
