Haha, indeed I am a married man, but Mike's leaving to sing on Carnival Cruises for 8 months on February 2nd, so I'll need friends.

I'm going to wait until there are more discounts available. I paid full price to see Patti at the City Center, and at this time if I am to see her a few more times, it will have to pop up a couple of times on TDF re: Did everyone get their Gypsy tickets? But I will definitely be seeing it!

re: Did everyone get their Gypsy tickets?

Does anyone know how long LuPone will be doing Gypsy on Broadway? I am planning on coming to NYC at the end of December and would highly consider Gypsy.

RY, why are you saying that it won't run until fall? It hasn't even opened yet and tickets JUST went on sale!!!! Why such negativity???

Eyeryone...? That's interesting. I could only find two samll posts saying that "insiders are saying..." Please, who are these "isiders". In addition, nothing has been announced that its a "limited run."

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I got my ticket! I'm going in April. I saw this show 3 times at Ravinia and I can not wait to see it again!

I'm getting close to cracking...

Does the St. James have a high stage or no?

Eos: I sat in the second row at the St. James before, and it wasn't bad at all. I doubt the first row will be different.

re: Did everyone get their Gypsy tickets?

Thanks for the advice guys -
I bit the bullet - row F seat 105 in April!

I just couldn't hold off anymore. If I blew the chances of finding a decent seat while I was gonna be in town, I wouldn't be able to live it down!

Yay!!!
