When I saw the show last week - the one thing that disturbed me was the long long long vamping that went on.
It almost made it sound like an amateur production. It seems to me that they could have had more musical variety under the dialogue. Rather that one measure over and over again.
Did that bother anyone else?

Not at all. I dont' remember any excessive vamping either.
Of course, I'm going back to the show next week and NOW that'll be the only thing I hear! Thanks for that!

I'm guessing you mean "Who's Crazy?/My Psycho-pharmacologist and I?"
And I liked it, especially after seeing it a few more times because it reminded me this scene in "Music in the Air". The entire scene is spoken, but the way the orchestra plays it makes it sound like they could sing it as well.
It also the first time we really see everyone on stage doing something that's integrated. Kind of like a foreshadow to "Why Stay/The Promise"

OK - well - obviously it was a minor thing as it was one of the best show I've seen.
But for those of you with an ear for this sort of thing - next time you go give a listen and get back to me.
Thanks -
