Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Last Five Years

Unfortunately, I never saw The Last Five Years, but I plan to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I really love listening to the music from both shows, but they are so different. Which soundtrack do you like listening to more? Were Sherie Rene Scott and Norbert Leo Butz better in one show than the other, or were both performances great in their own ways?

re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Last Five Years

i enjoy the L5Y cast recording better than DRS. more heart, less glitz, in my opinion.

i haven't seen DRS yet however, but as far as cast recordings go, that is my choice.

L5Y is excellent. Great songs, great singing.

re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and The Last Five Years

In my opinion last five years is far superior to drs. However they are very different. Drs being more comedic and l5y being more dramatic.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!
