Thoroughly enjoyed Sara and "Oklahoma?" when I saw the show, one of my favorite parts. That song is hilarious, and I think Sara as Jolene kicks a$$ for the brief time she's on stage!

I saw the show on the 16th and I absolutely loved Sara! She was hysterical and was one of my favorite parts of the show.
I'm glad to know I'm the not the only one who didn't recognize her. She came out and walked right past me... and by the time I figured out that it was her it was too late. She looks totally different than she does in the show. I was disappointed because i loved her in the show.

Okay, I asked Greg about this (what you said about him not coming out when you saw the show, movieinmymind). He says that he always comes out the stage door. ALWAYS. Sometimes he may be late coming out if he has guests and is giving them a backstage tour, so on those days fans might have to wait a little longer for him to come out. But he always does. I maybe shouldn't add this, but ... if you're waiting for Greg and Kevin at the stage door tells you that he's already come out ... keep waiting. :) I <3 Kevin, but if he tells you this, take it with a grain of salt. To re- and perhaps over-emphasize: Gregory Jbara ALWAYS comes out the stage door! :) :) :)

I won the lotto for the show with C is for Company, and we saw the matinee on April 16th. John, Norbert, and Greg came out. After sgining and tkaing pictures, they went back inside the theatre, John and Norbert I mean. I thought this was so nice because they didn't ahve t come out to sign to go back inside. Nice guys though, Norbert seems shy. I love Sara very much, I didn't ahve a problem with her live or on the cd, I think she's a great performer.

I was lucky to catch the show during its San Diego tryout when there weren't legions of fans waiting at the stage door. It was basically me and some teenage girl and her mom.
I met Sherie, Norbert, and Sara on their way in. Sherie came early and allowed me to have a picture taken. She asked if I was a fan because of Aida or the Last Five Years. I told her she was great in both but that I had been a fan since her Sally Simpson days in Tommy, and she was so excited about that that she put down her salad and sat down on a bench and talked to me for 15 minutes.
Sara mosied by a little later. She seemed totally caught off guard that anyone would recognize her, especially BEFORE the show. I didn't want to sound like a stalker, but really, how can you NOT recognize a pair of legs like that?
Norbert showed up about 10 minutes before the show started and was in a rush, but he did stop for a picture.
After the show, John came out and signed one of his books for my son, and Greg signed and chatted with lots of people. Joanna did everything in her power to avoid anyone who looked like they might ask for an autograph. Sherie's husband showed up with their kid(s)? and I thanked him for the fine work he does at Shh-K-Boom.
My point is that, with the exception of Joanna Gleason, everyone in this cast was gracious and willing to sign/talk to their fans. NYC is a different atmosphere, and I imagine that meeting legions of fans every night can get exhausting, but if you're patient and willing to drop by more than once, even Norbert the Heart-throb will eventually be happy to meet you.

I bought a poster and program and only have Norbert and John's autographs.....Greg was absent and Sara just walked by everyone even when we called out her name for autographs. (I still love Sara though...."Oklahoma?" is my favorite song in the show) When would you suggest that I get to the stage door to get autographs from Sherie, Joanna, Greg, and Sara before a show (matinee or evening)? Thanks for all of your help.

Norbert was really sweet. He signed my playbill and took a picture with me.

Ah movieinmymind, give the greg thread another try,I promise nobody meant to ignore any posts, it just sometimes gets moving really fast, Everyone loves when new greg fans join!
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

movieinmymind .... yeah, I read that you saw the show on the 9th in the Greg love thread. :)
EDITING IN: Oh ... still not sure which performance you were at on the 9th, matinee or evening, but that evening he definitely had guests ...
his middle school drama teacher (!) was there with her husband and two sons; also a cousin of Greg's was there with his girlfriend. So he was for sure backstage quite a long time that night. Says only the wig people left after he and his guests did.
:) END EDIT
I hope you do get to meet him sometime; he's a great guy!

It has been widely reported Norbert is usually in a bit of a rush--to either get home with his children or meet his girlfriend at "Wicked."

What a great story! And what a nice memory for you.
And to everyone about Sara's performance:
I've seen the show 5 times and she's been excellent every time. I was disappointed that she didn't receive a Tony nod (Greg, too! ) because I thought she was a scene stealer (in a show overflowing with scene-stealers!). So maybe some people just care for her, but I think she's wonderful as Jolene.

I thought Sara was delightful as well. I think it's a crying shame that she only gets 10 minutes of the show. After her performance in Nine I thought sure she'd find a project that would allow her to do more. It will happen soon, I'm sure.

HAH parks. sounds like Jo!
when i saw DRS, i went to the stage door after the matinee, which i saw, and also after the night show, after BKLYN.
matinee: John and Norbie came out, but weren't talking at all. could take pictures OF not with. a really nice chorus member named Tom soemthing that looked like Greg came out.
night: John, Sara, Norb, and Greg were all out and talking. again, no one recognized sara, or people might not have cared about her. greg was really nice, and i sent my pictures to his website, which he put on! again, pix of not with john and norb, and neither sherie nor joanna came out matinee or evening. i would really have LOVED to meet sherie.
if they sneak out the front, can we bother them there? PLEASE? lol.

He understudies for Andre and Lawrence, I believe, and then is in the chorus at other times. If you go see it when John's out, he will most likely be on. I hope you enjoy his performance as much as I did!
