Hi,
My brother and I will be doing a day trip to New York sometime during the week of May 11-15 and are looking to see either Phantom or Matilda. I've been poking around on the usual suspects (broadwaybox, etc), but was curious what the discounts for Phantom and Matilda tend to be on TKTS, or if there's any other place or good code I should know for either show? Anyone know if for these shows we'd be ok just showing up to the box office beforehand and scoring fairly cheap seats?
Also, does Matilda do the lottery for their Wednesday matinees?
Any help you can give would be much appreciated!

They are both pretty frequently on TKTS. Yup need discount codes at box office for discounts.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Matilda does a lottery every day..so that's your best price...$27.00. The TKTS prices for Matilda tend to be higher for Matilda matinees in general. The % discount can be anywhere from 20-50%. Weekday nights are almost always the cheapest performances. Sometimes the codes are better deals - you have to pay attention each day.
