Do shows discount at certain times? I've seen alot of people mention "May discounts", is this a heavy discount time?

Shows discount when their sales aren't good enough. The better a show sells, the fewer discounts available -- with no care for the time of year. The only exception to that on any sort of regular basis seems to be at Xmas - very few discounts at that time of year.
when you see folks talking about "may discounts" they are simply to purchase tix for May. Discounts are usually only good for a limited time, and as that one sets to expire, the producers decide whether the 'need' another one or not.

These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Okay great, thanks for your help. I'm taking my mom to NY in May and was just wondering on how it worked. I was hoping to see Once or Newsies while she is set on seeing Raven in Sister Act.
