So I heard that all the Disney shows are doing student rush, one ticket per ID and was wondering if anyone had tried for The Little Mermaid yet and how early they got there and were there tickets available and all that good stuff. Thanks so much!
The only Disney show that does Student Rush is LITTLE MERMAID.
Get there any time. There are always seats available.
LION KING and MARY POPPINS do not offer Student Rush.
Its till like October 9th or something that the other two are. So you should definitely go try and check it out. I am not sure if its a really known thing or not but if you go to the box office for the other two you should be able to get tickets. If I read the paper I saw right.
And thank you for the go any time seats available. Is it two tickets per ID or one? Thanks =)
The Lion King and Mary Poppins have never offered student rush. As it was said Mermaid is the only Disney show to offer student rush. I don't remember if it is one or two tickets per ID. But, they usually sell what is left over at student rush price. So, it's not like they have a set section of seats reserved for student rush tickets for Little Mermaid.

Mary Poppins offers standing room if the show is sold out...you're more likely to secure one of those slots during the holiday season and the summer months...Saturdays and Sundays are your best bet this time of year... If you wish, you could purchase balcony seats at $30.
I work for Disney and yes ALL Disney on Broadway shows now have student rush... and it's one ticket per ID.

Do you know if this policy will stay in effect or is it just for a couple of weeks? Also where have the seats been?
I rushed Mermaid last Saturday and got the last front row matinee ticket at about 11:30a....
I went tonight after losing In The Heights lotto, and got a ticket in Row ZZ (second to last row) of the orchestra for $30. From what I saw on the seating display on The Lion King's website, the mezz doesnt appear to obstruct the top of the stage, so it looks like a full view and the cheapest tickets on weeknights are the $51 last two rows of the mezz seats - so I cant complain. The people in front of me purchased tickets for the evening at full price and got the same row so I guess it's whatever they have left. Also, it's just one ticket per ID.

Oh wow, that's shocking that they do that now! I wish they would have during "Beauty's" run. I've been wanting to see TLK but not enough to see it full price, nice to know I have another option for student rush during the week.
Playbill.com says that rush for Mermaid is only for college students. Is that true? and is Mary Poppins and Lion KIng like that as well?
Playbill.com is not correct. When I rushed Mermaid I was still in high school and used my high school ID.
Guys, I rushed TLK last week - they came to NYU and gave us slips of paper that we had to present in order for the box office to believe us. Box Seats, 30 bucks, 1 per I.D. and Mary Poppins B.O. told us that they specifically have seats set aside for students for 30 bucks.
and I think the policy ends in like - early October? it said on the slip but the TLK man took it away from us

I went to TLM yesterday to investigate this. The man said exactly "We sell one, $30 ticket per valid college I.D. on the day of the show."
"they came to NYU and gave us slips of paper that we had to present in order for the box office to believe us."
When was this?
"Welcome week."
Bleh, of course. But it sounds like they have rush now so hopefully I won't have to go poke around Kimmel to see if there are any Lion King flyers with info around. Thanks!
They were blue slips of paper- lengthy but not wide, they had decals of all the disney shows on em'
