I say Sara, but everyone is probably right, she doesn't like showing up for performances.

I really liked Emily Skinner on the concept recording. But I am not sure if she can pull off the human Ursula though.

And I would really like to see Kerry Butler as Ariel, but she is starting to get too old to play teenagers.

i don't think kerry butler's too old for Ariel, for 34. Andrea McArdle was 36 when she entered the role for belle. i don't think anyone criticised her for her age, apart from the singning. well anyway, i think kerry's got the look and the voice that would match ariel (besides jodi benson playing the voice of her) well from what i've heard was that pat carroll was going to be playing the voice of the ursula puppet, so i wouldn't know who would be doing all the actions of ursula. i read this on wikidpedia.com, if they have to have someone doing the actions (miming), i would suggest someone with a histerical personality.

What happened to Eden as Ariel or Ursula? She would be good toplay evil. But her as Ariel and Kristin Chenoweth as Ursula/Vanessa would be hilarious... with her voice as a mean octopus....HA

Kerrie is too old. And Andrea Mcardle GAG! The problem with Beauty is that when they get a young girl in later... the Beast actor is 40. Part of Ariel's charm is her youth. Kerrie has the chops... but well she doesn't exactly look 16 anymore. I hope they cast this show young.

As much as I love Kerry Butler, and as much as I love her in this role, I would rather see it go to a younger unknown. Kerry is amazing on the recording, but I want to see her playing roles of people that are her own age. And if she gets cast in TLM, she could be more type cast, and as Kerry fans, we know she can do better than that.
