Do you forgive performers who crack onstage?

Just wondering? Do you think of it as human nature, or does that automatically make you think they are less of a performer and therefore bring down the quality of the show?

re: Do you forgive performers who crack onstage?

I can't say it's fine that I crack onstage occasionally, and then complain when someone else does it. So, yes, I forgive them. re: Do you forgive performers who crack onstage?

By "cracking" on stage - do we mean like stumbling on a line, or forgetting the line??

If that is what we are saying. I've never seen it happen on Bway. But i've seen it happen in Community/Childrens Theatre - which is totally understandable.

I'm with Patronus,

I like to stand up in the audience and yell, "We all heard you crack!" and then wait for them by the stage door so I can get a picture with me telling them they cracked.

LOL, I thought the same thing. I actually posted a response to the "zero tolerance for crackers" comment, but I chickened out and edited it to reflect the Saltine/Stage Door photo comment.

craking is perfecly normal especially if you're nervous because face it, even the best of the best still get nervous before going onstage. nobody is perfect, && the skilled actors are the ones who will sit in the audience and know what the person is going through. after hours upon hours upon more hours of rehearsal, you're voice isn't exactly peachy. ohh trust me. people need to learn to deal and cope. we're only human.

i absolutely hate it when professionals crack..i mean COME ON!!! i'm even better than that!!!

YEAH RIGHT!

come on, they're human!!! it doesn't bother me in the slightest, i actually almost like it because it brings back into my brain that they're real people, not superhuman performing machines.
