also someone said there is a thread about filling out an envelope but I tried searching and couldn't find it. Can someone post a link?

Usually what I do when I send a letter is:

Theatre Name
C/o Show Name
Attn: Actor/Actress you're sending to
Address
City, state, Zip code.

I've gotten responses from Idina, Patti and most of them I've sent to...

I have to admit that i'm a bit bummed out whe i just read that someday didn't receive anything back from Sherie in a while since i just sent her something a couple weeks ago. ohh well, she could be just busy! fingers crossed!

but does Becky Gulsvig respond to fanmail? How about Christine Ebersole? or (last one) Renee Klapmeyer?

This gave me a flashback to about ten years ago when I wrote to the Nederlander theater to the original cast of Rent. Never heard back from any of them!

When you send fanmail do you usually provide the picture or do they give you one?

i don't generally write fanmail, but i have recieved replies back from Idina Menzel, Jeff Goldblum, Sutton Foster, and Marcy Harriell (back like a hundred years ago). I didn't recieve a reply from Eden Espinosa. That's all the fanmail I've sent in the past... 10 years I think, all I can remember at least.

I saw Cheyenne Jackson in ALTAR BOYZ during its initial NYMF run, and I was so impressed with his singing that I sent him an e-mail via his web site to compliment him. He responded within 24 hours and was very grateful for the compliment.

He seems like a helluva nice guy.

Stephanie J, is amazing at answering fans. She returns emails, T.Y's for gifts received and sends out autographed pictures. She even will sign playbills of her past shows...just send her the playbill and a self addressed/stamped envelope. She's a real class act and she truly loves her fans!!!!!

If you look on Playbill.com's "On Broadway" listings, you can find the addresses for all of the theatres. So, for example, you'd put:

Patrick Wilson
c/o Cort Theatre
Xx West Whatever Street
New York, New York 100xx

He's SUPER-accomodating, you'll probably get something back.

If you have a MySpace account, Mano is really efficient about answering his messages there.

Eden responded my letter in two weeks. Seh sent a defying gravity picture and wrote me a letter.
