I have seen two pretty high profiles of Glass Menagerie in recent years. First was the Broadway revival with Jessica Lange. Second was the Guthrie's production with Harriet Harris.

Without a single doubt, Harriet's performance was insanely better than Lange's. That alone has made me a life-long fan. Well, that and her cameo in Addams Family Values.

For me it was her recurring role as Bebe, Frasier Crane's vicious agent.

She is my favorite actress!
One of many that I admire but I also first saw her on Frasier, one of my favorite shows and the episode where she stands on the edge of a building to get Fraser a better contract made me howl with laughter. She is also very down to earth and nice.
She is a star as an actress and as a person.

I thought she was great in both MILLIE and CRY BABY. She and Edward Hibbert were at NEXT FALL last night. I know because those 2 imps scooted down to a couple of empty seats in 2nd row of the orchestra. Hope they enjoyed the show as much as I did.

She is always great.Loved her this past season at NJ Shakespeare theatre in Noises Off. I am thinking of making the trip to Barrington Stage this summer to see her in Sweeny Todd.

????? if someone says, "does everyone like hamburgers?" you'd assume the person asking didn't like them. WHA???? Sometimes people assume negativity when there is none being expressed.

I'm a big fan. Lived her in Millie and Cry Baby. She's a great actor who sings as opposed to a great singer who acts.

Nice interview, Dollypop. You have a way with words, very enjoyable.

I do enjoy distinctive voices (Channing, Arthur, et al.) and adored Harris in "Millie" and could envision her being terrific as Vera in "Mame," but her 2nd act number in "Cry-Baby" was hard to sit through.

I think she is fantastic. Wonderful actress. Solid singer but not super strong. When I saw her with Christine Baranski as Mame, I kept wishing Harriet were Mame instead of Vera (although she was a wonderful Vera).

Loved her on Frasier, loved her in Millie, LOVED her in Noises Off at the NJ Shakespeare. When I saw her in Noises Off, Edward Hibbert was in the audience.

Believe it or not, I saw her as Ophelia to Kevin Kline's Hamlet at the NYSF (this was before he did it again with Diane Venora). Hard to reconcile that memory with the workshop I saw of "Millie," where she gave hands-down the funniest performance I'd ever seen in my life.
