I'm sorry, but a lot of his recent work hasn't been very good. The Stendhal Syndrome had its moments, but on a whole it was a convoluted mess. Same with Dedication. Maybe it's time for old Terry to take a nice vacation and clear his head...

He actually has another one premiering in Philadelphia next year titled SOME MEN. It was workshopped at Sundance last year with John Glover, Malcolm Gets, Darius de Haas, Michael Rupert, Stephen Bogardus, Wayne Wilcox, Mary Testa, Pamela Issacs and others.

Less than the best McNalley is still better than much else - a clear point of view and interesting language. The Lisbon Traviata, for example is flawed, but remains fascinating.

This one sounds pretty poopy, too. That last sentence makes me think Judy, Liza, Bette and Cher will be major parts of the sound design, if not actual characters...how fascinating and original.

From reading that description, doesn't it seem like he's already written this play a few times before? I mean ANOTHER play with a bunch of show/opera queens?

Apparently it's immediately a period piece, as it takes place at The Plaza - oh, wait, hmmmm a wedding, The Plaza . . . maybe this play has been written before.

SOME MEN sounds like "Terrence does Paul Rudnick" , and not in a good way.
