Hi! So I am auditioning for Shrek the Musical tomorrow at a local community theater. I had very short notice to learn a song(less than a week) and prepare for the audition. I ended up choosing one that I happened to be working on in my vocal lessons for my next recital. The song is "For Good" from Wicked. I understand this show is overdone, but I had very limited choices. I was wondering if you guys could listen to this recording and give me a few pointers or anything, or just let me know if its good! It would really help!
-I'm 15 by the way

You sound good. It sounds sincere and sweet. Have fun at your audition! The only suggestion I would have is on the word better.
It sounds like two words...like two words...bet ter. It's one word. Don't hit the t so hard.

A little soft, I can tell your auditioning for princess fiona!
Don't worry about a song being overdone. I read a posting here once from someone in casting saying it's more important to have a song that fits you well and you do a great job on vs something that is less popular, but doesn't make sense for the role you are going for.

I actually wasn't thinking about auditioning for her! Do you think I should?
Don't know what you look like but from the way you sang it and your tone it felt like you wanted Fiona, if you think you can do it then go for it!

Very nice! I love your voice. A few diction issues (I agree with goldenboy on "bet-ter," and also you added an h on "and we [h]are led") but otherwise you should be very happy with your work. Enjoy your audition and good luck! The song suits your voice very well.

The "better" sounds fine to me!
One word of advice though: Sing out, Louise! One can tell that you have so much more to give, don't come off the voice.

what is the physical description for that character? I'm 15, short(4'11), brown eyes, brown hair, and pretty much just overall a tiny person.
