No, and to give her a nomination in a show that was an abomination was stupid for the tony committee..to think that she could pull of portraying a character at 17 years of age, was, with all due respect, a stretch for the audience. It might have been better to hire a 17, 18, 19, 20 year old actress to portray the character at that age, and let the older one watch and observe. It was just one of the stupid decisions this year's tony committee made on top of the stupid decision to let her try and portray a 17 year old.

I thought Carolee Carmello was superb in Scandalous, so she definitely deserved the nomination. Was the show a flop? Yes. So what? Her performance was not.

I always thought she should have won for Parade. I love Bernadette Peters but Carolee was BRILLIANT.
