Best of luck SADM2
However the report on the BWW newsdesk says adults only.
That's...racism? Now all hopes of going are diminished. Also the fact that I don't have any way of getting there...BUT STILL! ¬¬

You premiere on Heath Ledger's one year death anniversary. Light a candle backstage for him :)

OK so we decided to do some fun facts about the show and cast, so here goes

Cast
Adele Stanhope who plays Tricia has a dream role she would LOVE to play in a musical, forget Miss Saigon, Les Mis, Phantom she would like to play Chris in Carrie The Musical!!!!

Mike Gates is replacing Greg Kelly as Matt due to scheduling conflicts, however Greg has a different show playing in the same venue 1 week before we open (i smell a war)

Mike Gates had never done any acting until he joined Vertigo, his 1st role was as Brian in the Breakfast Club and now hes playing the Lowry (and he didn't have to sleep with the director or anything)

Louise Allen is replacing Abby Simmons as CBs sister, Louise has not acted with the company since our first play '3sum' in which she had to play an alcoholic god obsessed virgin whos high point came when she had to wear a strap on on her head and shout "look at me im a pretty girl" lol

Louise Allen has also designed all the costumes for the 1st production of Dog Sees God we did at Taurus, This production and The Breakfast Club

Stuart Reeve read in over a year ago for Dog Sees God, but due to the fact we had a girl missing in the read through he read in as CBs Sister...he was a wonderful girl, luckily hes playing the role of Van

Stuart Reeve is playing Van who is a pot head, Stu is keen to point out he has never smoked Pot lol

Emma Salt who is playing Marcy in the show started to gag on a cup of tea she was drinking in rehearsals, a scene was happening at the time and she did not want to disturb it so instead sat that with tea coming out of her nose and mouth...we define that as the ultimate professional sacrifice.

Emma Willcox who plays Van's Sister uses her own handcuffs in the show Hmmmmmm

Rick Carter who plays the lead role of CB had also never acted until he joined Vertigo and has now played lead roles in all of Vertigo's productions because he is that bloody good, he also provides music for the show which he wrote himself

Craig Hepworth who plays Beethoven is 30 years old and far to old to play a teenager lolol

The Show
The last venue that Dog Sees God was premiered by us was Taurus Bar, we could fit the whole of the stage and audience area of Taurus on to the stage at the lowry, and still have room left.

Certain foods and places in Bert's original script have been changed so UK audiences get the joke

The backdrop for the show is 4.1 meters high and 8m long, and we made Louise Allen sew all the panels together lolol

Van's dreadlock wig is called George, that's what Stu Reeve who plays Van calls it, technically though its George 2 as we replaced a very tired looking George 1.

The producers and director of the play are amazingly talented, no really we are, Bert V Royal said so, and he won awards and everything.

We had to change the advertising from Taurus when we moved to the lowry, reason being that on the original poster it had Craig Hepworth touching Rick Carters private parts lol

The Guys have got the dressing room with the shower and toilet in, because we are special lol

With 15 days to go, all the cast have flu ...bad times

Part of the institution set got broke the other day, this is not a fact as much as me owning up that i did it.

We have 56 sound cues and 66 lighting cues at the Lowry, at taurus we had 20 sound cues and switched a light switch on and off.

The show contains 4 gay kisses, 2 topless moments for men and a girl looking like she is about to give a guy a blow job

We use a Ru Paul song in the show and are not ashamed

The cast are useless at dancing like the Peanuts kids

We use 60 glow sticks a night in the show

Craig has developed a crush on Bert V Royal lol

The bottles on the girls lunch trays have to be blue tacked down because they keep dropping them

and finally

That is all
