Man! I'd love to go! But I can't see anything in NYC that starts that late and still get home. Stupid NJ Transit!

^I think that press release is everyone who is appearing this Thursday- at least that's the way their Facebook entry reads.

Oh Marc Kudisch...*le sigh*

It was so great to see DQYNJ again! It was hilarious, as always. The Zipper worked really well as a venue, much better than HA!, and while I'd love to see it back at Joe's if it becomes regular again, this space is more than a suitable platform. Was anyone else there? It was quite a "full house." Ha. haha. I know... that was bad.

I'm so glad this is back! I hope it is staying this time, wherever it goes. I can't wait to see it again!

re: Don't Quit returns this Thursday!!

I don't think that my brain has recovered yet from Marc Kudisch the unicorn...although, I am also now a fan of the line "die, die, die- just die already!" from RENT. lol. And this was the second event this week that I saw Jamie-Lynn Sigler (who was awesome with the Musical Mad Libs) perform at.

But yes, much much love for the return of DQYNJ.

re: Don't Quit returns this Thursday!!

I liked the opening skit about the strike and audience coalition of america (or something like that). Overall a great night, tons of energy from the audience, great madlibs, overacting, skits, etc.

Their new game with the lines was funny, I wish they had used more of them though!!!

The only thing I was somewhat skeptical about- the two kids doing the reading from Farnsworth Invention- it was funny, but having them scream and swear so much- oy!

Oh, the abridged version of Rent....ridiculous. Anakela, that line will forever be remembered. "Die in the frame, look into the lens..."

I think the opening sketch was the "Audience Union of America"...leading to that awkward acronym pronunciation. Loved it. The genre game was really good, too. Sandy was hilarious. I couldn't tell if Stars of Tomorrow was hilarious or if it just made me uncomfortable. That and the dude on house right yelling more unnecessary things for the children during symphony.

Katie Finneran as a dolphin. And Kudisch as a unicorn. In one night. Jesus.

re: Don't Quit returns this Thursday!!

It was a really great night, and I think the combination that it hadn't been around for a while and the goings-on of the strike made everyone there that much enthusiastic and happy to go.

Loved everything everyone mentioned, along with the "ow" song of Unicorn Kudisch, and "guess I'm the only one who doesn't have AIDS."

And I loved everything Steve did on the book stores/different genre things, every adjustment he made was genius.

It was great to see the show back, and I hope to see it again soon!

Seriously? I just bought my plane ticket out of NYC for Thursday morning. Sad. Oh well.
