Who is Osmond playing?

I saw it last night. Sarah was wonderful as usual. I surprisingly liked Osmond (he got crazy applause for everything he did). The show was as good as it usually is, but the audience was great. At the stage door, there was so many women, I couldn't believe it. Oh, and Access Hollywood was there, which was cool. But, back to the original question - Sarah was fantastic (who expected anything different) and Osmond was really good at hamming it up (I laughed more at his Gaston than any of the others I have seen, perhaps because it was unusual casting, imo). It's worth seeing it again if anybody was wondring.

Thanks for the feedback. I so want to see Donny in this--and I love Sarah's voice.

As good as it always is?
So, in other words, it blows?

There is always something really likeable about Donny onstage. I'd absolutely go see him.
Plus, he was pretty hot and sexy in JOSEPH...
Is Steve Blanchard still walking through?
I'm sure he is. He's incredibly awful.

When is he not?
Gotta give him credit, though. Unlike most middle aged actors, he's had a steady job all his life.
He was horrible when I saw the show this past January...he really needs to be replaced.
I think Michael Halling from the recent touring cast should play the Beast on Broadway. He was AMAZING in the role.
Funny how I saw the show in July, and Steve was absolutely awesome. I am so f***ing sick of people saying he walks through the part when they have seen him one time in the past 5 years. Guess what, just because people may give a walk through performance for a period, that doesn't mean they can't start giving solid performances again. Steve gave an great performance when I saw him in July.
EDIT: Angelic, you saw it with Sarah and Donny, perhaps you would like to comment on Steve's performance?

Michael Halling would get me to see the show again.
I wish I could get to NYC to see Donny, I LOVE him!
Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite animated Disney feature. I've never seen it on stage, but I have always wanted to see it on Broadway due to the fact it's scaled down on tour. It's sad to hear how much it has gone downhill these past few years. I have a friend who works at the theatre and I guess everyone there talks about how bad it has gotten as well.
I truly hope they start pumping some talented blood (Sarah and Donny are a good start) into the show and give it a good brush up. It truly is a beautiful story with beautiful music and, from what I have heard, a beautiful show.

They need a fresh start, it's not just that it's bad.
I've seen the show 7 times and I believe I have seen Blanchard and Litzsing every time. Mind you, this has been over a 10 year period. I thought I would revisit the show a few months ago, and was so thoroughly pissed that it was the same cast as the other 3000 times i've seen it.
i saw Sarah in Cinderella and i think this will be good for the show. Dump Steve.

Saw it last night.
Sarah's not exactly right for this role vocally, but she can act her way through anything. It was interesting to see what she did in this genre.
Steve needs to be replaced. He just doesn't have the vocal chops for the role. He acts it just fine, and gets a few more laughs than most, but I'm sure there are 20,000 NYC actors who could get as many (or more) laughs, and have voices that would slay 'em.
Donny is a wonderful ham. I enjoyed him a lot. As soon as he settles into the choreo, he'll be perfect.
Sarah was the Second Belle on Broadway.
Her voice is well suited to the role.
She is singing the sh@t
out of it.
