Sueleen, SM2, Matt, Joe, WCA please see this show.
Cherry Jones is brilliant! My god, I did a play in Kindergarten and since then I have loved the theater and her performance is one if the best I have seen. I loved this character! She draws a moral line and does not cross it.
McGarry, Joyce and Clay are EXCELLENT.
The BWW elite in NY has seen this, we now have this opportunity to see a treasure!
It was fantastic. Really, I can't find any other way to describe it. It was one wonderful night at the theatre. A Chicago critic put it best when he said something like: a show like this comes through the city as often as a bald eagle goes through the turnstiles of the CTA.
I saw it last week and the whole show was fantastic. I also got to meet Cherry after the show, and talked to her for a while. She is a very sweet lady.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
I don't know if it is still on HotTix but that is where I got my ticket! 2nd row Dress Circle for $40! I would check the website on matinee days for sure!
I'm planning on seeing the show in Boston next month. I fell in love with the show last year (a year ago tomorrow) and I can't wait to see Cherry Jones as Sr. Aloysius.
How to properly use its/it's:
Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...
Would love to see this touring company. A friend of mine is in the cast and would be great to her.
"Smart! And into all those exotic mystiques -- The Kama Sutra and Chinese techniques. I hear she knows more than seventy-five. Call me tomorrow if you're still alive!"
"Chicago is it's own incredible theater town right there smack down in the middle of the heartland. What a great city! I can see why Oprah likes to live there!" - Dee Hoty :-D
Oook, I wasn't sure if they changed it since the renovation.
