The tag line should be:
"Dracula: Sucks in Every Language"
Dracula:No Passport Required to Suck!
Dracula:Now Sucking In Germany!
Dracula:The German Translation is Shisse!
Those are wonderful tag lines I think.
A joke is always better when you spell a word correctly (Shisse - not right)
And OBVIOUSLY the book will be different and the lyrics may be better...
Hmm... the promotional art looks interesting. It's very different than the Broadway art. I like it.
I loved Dracula, and I'm personally looking forward to hearing about the Swiss production. There are a few Swiss Dracula fans on my forums (linked in my signature), and they've promised to share some reviews of the show as soon as they've seen it.

I would love to see the show in switzerland - but I know I won't. Chris Murray, as Van Helsing, has an amazing voice.
I was just thinking 'we really need another bad vampire musical sooner than later.'
What luck!
I'm more excited about Jesper Tyden as Dracula. Jesper is just... amazing. I hope they make a cast recording.

He has a good voice - sounds poppish though (which may work)
You know, never saw Dracula, but from what I've seen in clips the music sounds good.

I am glad to hear Dracula is getting a chance in other countries, and I found some of the music to be quite lovely in the Broadway version. The biggest problem with the Broadway incarnation was the book, not the music, not the cast, not the sets, not the costumes. If the book is tightened and some suspence and meaningful dialogue are added in order to (a) explain the central themes of the show and (b) develop deeper, more varied, more nuanced characters, I don't see why Dracula shouldn't be regarded as anything other than enjoyable. Frank Wildhorn deserves credit for a rich score and some of the effects were fabulous. Don Black's book was what sealed the fate of Dracula. He had great material to work with, and somehow made the story dull. Just how does one go about making dull the story of a vampire who lives forever by bitting the necks of virgins and drinking their blood? I could understand if this were Little Women, but Dracula? That musical should have had the audience's undivided attention.
I agree Luke - where have you been when I was solely defending this show?
Well, I will admit although it is one of my favorite books, the middle of Stoker's Dracula is rather dry. You'd think that music would help this - and I do think that it did.
The book is just awful.
I will say, I used to hate Modern World. Now, after listening to it over and over, I really like it. Sometimes, I will listen to that song by itself.
People, people. By FAR the best thing about Dracula was Kelli O'Hara, and she's appearing uptown in Light In The Piazza. Don't miss her.
I won't.
and I need her to sign my Dracula playbill - then get Shon's and I'll have the main cast!

Luke and Thenardier -
I LOVE the score to DRACULA but the book and lyrics leave much to be desired. Luke, I could not have explained my opinions on the show better. You hit the nail on the head!
And Thenardier, I listen to MODERN WORLD by itself ALL the time. That song is such a fun number and I think it's needed in the show. I don't know why people don't like it.
Well at first I didn't like it...now I do. It's hard to understand it I guess in the show.
(Please check your PMs)
But I am loving all the songs in it. How I miss this show!

Speaking of Vampire musicals, any news on Lestat?

The poster makes it look like a modern dance production. I really don't understand how it evokes Dracula in any way. Weird.
hmmmm, I wonder why this is not opening in Zurich. It's 55 miles from Zurich, and frankly if I were "am Bodensee" I'd go.....but otherwise, no. It's also 144 miles from Munich.....
Go see "IT SUCKS TO BE YOU" in Forbidden Broadway SVU
I love Tom Hewitt, but that number makes me howl.
I am sorry, I have never liked Wildhorn tunes.
Hopefully his next one.
