thats the funny thing about confirmation, it can change in six hours.
No worries..I really don't have a crystal ball. But experience has taught me not to blab publically until things are on paper. Anything can happen in 24 hrs. That much I know!
Now that's it's officially announced, by the responsible parties, I will say that I was given solid information that Mr. Wildhorn was prepared to bring it to an off-Bd'w house, but was in negotions with a few potential backers for a Bd'w opening. Looks like Frank will have his shot....again. As for Camille, I was also told "one show at a time" for the Wildhorns.

What I forgot to include in my original post was that my sources said that it will happen in June or July.

Catsnyrevival: Did you happen to see the article on Playbill.com???????????????????????????????????????????????????????
I also loved the La Jolla mounting, it was better than a great deal of the recent offerings we've had, and Tom Hewitt can do no wrong in my book. I hope Dracula comes to "life" sooner rather than later.

I love Wildhorn and I am thrilled that he has another show heading to B'way! : )
Tom Hewitt rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eddie - your new logo is awe inspiring...LOL!
yes, who is that delicious looking man on your icon, Eddie?
Oh man, you just have no clue how much I am looking forward to Dracula's opening! The La Jolla production was breathtaking, and the music is marvelous! I will admit that just a few songs resemble those in Jekyll and Hyde, but for the most part the show is quite different...Think of Sondheim mixed with a lot Wildhorn! They have supposedly written several new songs for the production. I read on Playbill.com that Joop van den Ende will be producing this production, and Joop van den Ende is known for his amazingly successful productions around the world...He is a wonderful producer!!! I can't wait....I'm ready to buy tickets now, hahaha!
See Ya!
Phantom05
As soon as they go on sale, I will get them
It is fitting it will be in the Belasco for many reasons . It is thought of as a jinx house . What better show to play than one from a composer whose 3 shows ( while quite good ) were not hits. The show is about the undead & the Belasco is said to have the ghost of David Belasco roaming around . Finally , it is an old gothic theater reminding me of Carfax Abbey.
I bid you ... Welcome
