Glad for Vanya, Sonia . . . but not happy about Matilda. Is there any precedent for the Drama Critics not making a selection in one of the categories?

If you check out their website, you'll see there have been plenty of seasons where they didn't deem any show worthy of one of the three major awards they hand out (Best Play, Best Musical, Best Foreign Play). They only seem to award shows when they really believe that they are worthy of the title.

And RippedMan, I believe you're thinking of the Drama League Awards, where they only award one "distinguished performance," out of a large crop of nominees. Updated On: 5/3/13 at 03:50 PM
