I don't know the show at all, but based on the description I would DIE to play Dave. That America Bandtand sound is my favourite. And I am as bland and white as they come!...and after the plastic surgery, I am BOUND to be handsome.

Okay, I assume that Dave is a part of the white group that sings 'Cadillac Car' and we all know Tiny Joe Dixon but the rest of these characters and their descriptions also tells me that some MAJOR script changes are happening here.

I'd love to play Tiny Joe Dixon. That seems like it would be fun and easy for me to play (I'm not fat, though. But I think I can sing like Little Richard).

Yeah Effie's daughter is a major change. She now has a name and probably lines judging from the fact that she has an opinion about her mom. It's funny how film works. They consider Jennifer Hudson's size something that someone could be embarassed about. LOL Jennifer's not that big.
