You know, if you read this through carefully, they're giving some serious plot changes away.

I don't know the show at all, but based on the description I would DIE to play Dave. That America Bandtand sound is my favourite. And I am as bland and white as they come!...and after the plastic surgery, I am BOUND to be handsome.

Posted: 12/13/05 at 10:15pmOkay, I assume that Dave is a part of the white group that sings 'Cadillac Car' and we all know Tiny Joe Dixon but the rest of these characters and their descriptions also tells me that some MAJOR script changes are happening here.

pab --- really only two, but I'm surprised they printed it even in the breakdowns here...
Take a closer look at "Female Jazz Singer" and "Teddy Campbell."
The rest are in the stage show (or at least mentioned in the stage show).

Posted: 12/14/05 at 12:49amYeah Effie's daughter is a major change. She now has a name and probably lines judging from the fact that she has an opinion about her mom. It's funny how film works. They consider Jennifer Hudson's size something that someone could be embarassed about. LOL Jennifer's not that big.

Honestly, I appreciated your enthusiasm finding the casting notice, but I'm sure many a jaw dropped to read it here.
I was going to suggest you delete it, perhaps... either that, or post it under a "spoilers" thread.
