Is it official that Boyd's joined the cast? I had lunch with him last week and he told me he was only "in talks" to do it.

I don't see the show touring with these two. I don't think either actor is up for an international tour. They are robust, but I can't see traveling the world with a show at this stage of their lives and careers. It surprises me they are even doing this.

While I agree that touring is never easy at any age, especially when you're in your late 80's, but I'm sure Ms. Lansbury and Mr. Jones know their abilities and limits much better than we do. Hopefully it all goes smoothly.
Plus I understand Ms. Lansbury always wanted to play that part.
She was one of the actresses, along with Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, and Lucille Ball, who wanted to play Miss Daisy in a film version back in 1989.

Will42 you just made my day with the Sydney and Melbourne news! Already checked out an itinerary and am definitely porting in Sydney during one of the weeks early in the Sydney run. This has me very excited, and my roommates a little jealous I think. :-P
