And to think that they at first pushed the date forward. Now I'm very excited. I'm preordering it on Amazon as soon as I get home!

Possibly, yes.

They said with "select" retailers. I wish they told us which ones.
Virgin Megastore right here in Times Square apparently has it - I'm going by after work to buy it.
According to my friend who already picked it up the "booklet is the cutest thing ever and there are 22 tracks"

Oh, that's more tracks than Amazon.com has listed.
footlight is shipping them this week also...
I think the Man in Chair dialogue is mostly tracked seperately, and that accounts for high track numbers.
I'm curious to see how long it will take for me to receive this as I ordered it from Amazon.
Couldn't find it at Barnes & Noble or Borders today.
Amazon said "ships in 4 to 6 weeks" yesterday, but today it has changed to "usually ships in 24 hours."

I picked this up today at the Tower Records in Philadelphia.
The CD itself is is designed to look like a record (similar to Hairspray).
My favorite parts of the recording:
Show Off
I Am Adolpho (hilarious. . .reminded me of why Danny Burstein truly desrves his Tony nomination)
I wish they put more of the Man in the Chair's intro on the cd.

Amazon says that as of right now it usually ships within 24 hours.
Believe it or not, I don't have Drowsy in the Sh-k-office yet,but as soon as i do (which is hopefully today) preorders will be shipped out. I promise you I will get them out as fast as I possibly can.
xo,
Zan
Does anyone know if and/or when it will be available on iTunes?

Possibly next Tuesday, since every Tueday is "New Music Tuesday" on iTunes.

I stopped by Virgin Megastore here in Orlando and they didn't have it and gave me two release dates - the 13th and the 20th. That's really annoying that obviously the Times Square store has it but Florida can't share in having the CD as well...
Grr... and I really wanted to listen to it tonight after work.
It sounds great!

Tis a great CD....I could honestly do without the commentary, though.

I'm going to Boston tonight to see Rent, I'll have to check out a music store when I'm there
If you're referring to Bob's dialogue, the cd'd suck without it. He makes that show funny.

Yankeefan, I feel the exact opposite. I think the commentary is an essential component of this recording.

Plus, the dialogue parts are their own separate tracks, no? You can just skip them. The 1994 Damn Yankees cast recording is like that, which makes it awesome.

"Plus, the dialogue parts are their own separate tracks, no?"
Not in all cases. For instance, before Track 16 "Bride's Lament" the commentary is at the beginning of the track. But that is a case where I especially think that the commentary is necessary, before she starts singing about the monkey.

For those in the Tri-State Area, the Tower Records in Paramus, NJ has the CD in stock. I have mine on hold at the desk.
