It felt like La Manna was phoning it in she was terrible and unfortunately I had three understudies for Trix the chaperone and George(who was GOD AWFUL) this could be one of the reasons i did not enjoy it. I did however think Danny Burstein was FANTASTIC he has been doing the show for a while now and it seemed fresh and energetic SO FUNNY Iwas dissapointed I wanted to love it but found it hard to.... granted it had some funny moments.

It appears to be on its last legs. Last week's grosses were in the low 60s, I believe.

Posted: 7/7/07 at 10:39pmi just saw this show two weeks ago with la manna and i was thoroughly disappointed by her. but last night i was with beth leavel and she said she was at a wedding today, and she'll be back in tomorrow. beth and danny are the heart of this show and it wouldn't be worth seeing right now without them.

I saw TDC without Beth. A friend who had seen it with her who came with me, said the understudy we had was equally as talented as Beth.
Not sure if you got Stacia Fernandez, but if you did... she's not the reason the show was bad. I felt it was boring, but it was a quality show, nothing really THAT special, but it was good.

"Um see it again when Beth is in. It is a completely diffrent show."
I saw the show with the entire original cast, and Beth, Sutton, Danny, Bob, everyone was in, yet, I was dissappointed, I don't think that a certain performer can change the show too much, if you didn't enjoy it, it wasn't because Beth was out.
Don't waste your money in seeing it again would be my advice.
Not being hateful against the show, but that's my honest opinion.

I think Beth makes the show world's better. She and Danny are out of this world. I've seen Stacia and Beth and while their voices are very similar, Beth's acting is outstanding. Stacia is too subtle at parts and too over the top at others. BEth is the perfect mix of both and seems drowsy throughout the whole show without stealing it.
I also prefer LaManna to Foster. I was very underwhelmed by Sutton's performance and think LaManna is so graceful in the role.

I saw this show for my first time a couple of weeks ago and had an amazing time. I hope it does not close. John Glover was perfect as the man in the chair; he was hilarious, and probably one of the most memorable performances I have seen on stage. He did a great job, played around with the audience, and just seemed completely in love with the show.
As for Beth and Danny, they were both wonderful. They were both extremely funny and added so much to the show. I want to say the same for the two gangsters. Just brought a smile to my face.
As for LaManna. She wasn't anything spectacular, but she did her thing. She was not bad by any means. She sang her songs, she did some impressive flexible movements. In my mind it was hard to upstage Beth, John and Danny. I felt the rest of the cast did their thing as well.
I really enjoyed my time at the show and certainly do not believe that the show has run out of steam. Its just a shame that it does not have the notoriety of other big shows, because I'm sure many tourists would enjoy it.
