I know that some shows have been recorded, and that it really depends on whether they can get a producer to finance recordings, but I'm curious about which shows have been recorded. The ones I could find are listed here.

ONE TOUCH OF VENUS was recorded, but the release has been in limbo for years. IIRC, it might actually be released some time this year, though.

You're right! I just found an article on Playbill about the album. Apparently they are going back to the studio to complete the recording, and aiming for a December 2012 release.

Also, and this is unrelated, is there any word on the ANYONE CAN WHISTLE recording that Jay has had in the vaults for years?

Thank goodness they recorded that Ziegfeld Follies. It is one of the best cast albums ever!

I wish they would have recorded Merrily We Roll Along. There was talk from the cast, but nothing ever happened. I miss Encores recordings. They should just record them live if they want to save money...

JAY recorded a complete two disc Anyone Can Whistle with John Barrowman and Maria Friedman at *least* ten years back. It's been in release limbo for some reason since then.
