I'm sorry I missed this now. I would have driven all that way just to hear that song live. If the rest of the score is like that song I think Marc and Scott will have another hit on their hands! Who's writing the book to the show?

WOW what a wonderful and AMAZING coup to be THE Broadway place on the net that let's the world hear, "50 Checks" I'm telling ya all, this song is a classic, hearing it live and knowing what the emotional connections it has to the characters in the show gave us all chills sitting there, and young Mr.S reminded our party of another Mr.S from NJ as he swinged and swayed and sang the song.

This is one that everybody is gonna be singing at auditions in the very near future! Not to mention weddings! It makes me wanna be back in Bound Brook!

Loved it! I've just caught myself walking around the office muttering "50 checks da da da" to myself.

Did I read correctly that the rest of the score is going to be in a similar 60's theme?

Yes, the show will be in the 60s style (since a lot of the story takes place in the 60s)

It's a wonderful song from what is sure to be a wonderful show...

and having seen the man live, I think Mr. Shaiman might consider taking a page from Elaine Stritch and doing a one man show in the near future...and in New York City, no less..

He's got the stories, the song and the vocal chops...

I used to think you were a disgusting blemish, a pimple on the ass of society, one of God's most unfortunate mistakes, a constant reminder of all that's bad in the world...
